The Casa has closed it’s doors. As we prepared to pay our yearly rent, we found out that our landlord had other ideas for her property. Our Board of Directors met and decided it was just too great of a task to rebuild in another location quickly, so the decision was to close the Casa. Sometimes great things have to come to an end!
Many of the supplies of the Casa were stored locally ( in case of another reincarnation) other supplies were gifted locally and also donated to other towns in our Communidad.
The Donations collected in our fundraising’s will be held till a decision is made by the Board on its use. If you have some ideas feel free to pass us your input. We can be contacted through the contact page. All prizes from the 08 Raffle will be honored.
A final accounting and report is being prepared and will be available locally and also posted here.

This years, Casa Imaginación’s “win a vacation” raffle was held today.
Drumroll please….
The person that sold the most tickets….Jenn and Kevin Brunner staying in the lovely, Casa del Sol plus 500 dollars cash.
Debra Beene won lodging at the newly renovated, Yelapa Oasis.
Sam “the yo yo man” Wylie (a past casa imaginación volunteer) won a stay with Casa Isabel.
Gloria Cannon will be staying at the Original Hotel Lagunita
Sue Ann Wade Crouse won a week at the amazing Los Sueños.
Once again… we thank all of you that participated. The raffle raised funds to continue running our center for the next two years.

The amazing Sarah … after a visit and round of time volunteering , she returned a year later with a book she had Illustrated and published and sold at her local farmers market. All funds were donated to the Casa. We are in awe of her kindness.

thanks to Linda for her wonderful donation of time and energy and the offering of a photo class and upcoming exhibition…more than twenty kids were taught photography and each received a camera. Hopefully we can share the results with you soon.
